A: Given that both Haikou and Sanya enjoy plentiful tourism resources and offshore airports, the State Council has decided to open offshore duty-free stores in Haikou and Sanya to test the policy.

The Sanya store was also given an offshore duty-free policy on the basis of the outbound duty-free store in the city originally approved by the government, which will be open to test the policy since this notice starts from the date of implementation.

Haikou’s duty-free store is going to be launched for trial after its business entity, site selection and related supporting facilities are to be confirmed and approved by the relevant authorities.
