Guiyang promotes all-season tourism

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched its "Cool Guiyang" brand in 2007 to offer people high-quality experiences in health, culture, sightseeing, food, shopping and travel.

With its advantages in latitude, altitude, temperature, humidity, oxygen concentration and wind speed, Guiyang is developing a health resort industry to take advantage of its comfortable and moderate climate.

Guiyang has made full use of its cultural resources, including "red culture", Yangming culture, ecological culture and ethnic culture.

Focusing on its main scenic spots, the city will improve the travel experience for tourists and rebuild its tourism business model to extend tourists' duration of stay and increase their consumption.

In light of the pandemic, Guiyang will launch special tourist routes to benefit more from tourism revenue.

With spectacular mountains, lucid waters, lush forests and beautiful urban landscapes, Guiyang aims to offer breathtaking views to tourists. The city offers the most delicious local delicacies and has transformed many backstreets and alleys into must-visit destinations for food enthusiasts.

Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang and Guian New Area have accelerated the integrated development of tourism and other industries to become an international consumption center, boost the nighttime economy, and stimulate consumption.

This year, the growth rate of the hotel industry's business revenue in Guiyang and Guian is expected to reach 20 percent and the business revenue growth rate of the culture, sports and entertainment industries is expected to reach 15 percent.

More than 20 million tourists are expected to spend the night in Guiyang and Guian, each tourist is expected to spend an average of 1,370 yuan ($210.72), and the added value of tourism and related industries is expected to exceed 31.1 billion yuan.
