A mobile nucleic acid test lab opened at the Second People's Hospital of Guiyang in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 14.
The lab is equipped with a confined and isolated reagent preparation room, sample treatment room, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) room and disinfection room to ensure the safety of testers and the environment.
With three fully-automated nucleic acid extraction machines, 14 PCR machines and two automated sample processing systems, the lab can test 10,000 tubes of samples per day.
The mobile lab has all the functions of regular labs, and can travel to anywhere in any environment to offer nucleic acid tests. Together with the hospital's regular nucleic acid test labs, the mobile lab can travel to conduct sudden and large-scale nucleic acid tests.
