The China International Big Data Expo which ran May 26-28 – in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – sparked widespread interest with a series of exhibits on the latest technologies and products in the application of big data.
They reportedly drew the keen attention of visitors and attracted businessmen to seek commercial opportunities and negotiate deals.
During the expo, a total of 144 contract projects were signed worth 56.56 billion yuan ($8.88 billion), according to Mao Yinqiang, deputy director of the Executive Committee of the 2021 Big Data Expo, who spoke at the closing ceremony on May 28.
Among the projects, 94 were big data integration industry projects worth 43.08 billion yuan, while 50 projects in the big data electronic information industry were worth 13.48 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, tech enterprises such as Huawei, PCITECH and XUNYOU signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with government departments.
