Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has launched commuter buses between Guiyang's passenger station and the FAST popular science base, which is located in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture's Pingtang county.
From March 8, the buses depart from Guiyang's passenger station at Yan'an West Road every day at 7:30 am and arrive at the FAST popular science base at 9:30 am.
The buses will depart from the base at 4:30 pm and arrive in Guiyang at 6:30 pm.
Visitors can purchase bus tickets from online travel agencies such as Ctrip, Meituan and Fliggy, or from offline travel agencies and hotels.
The popular science base has the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope, which is the largest of its kind globally and has identified more than 300 pulsars so far.
With the launch of the commuter bus service, it is now easier and cheaper for visitors to visit Pingtang's FAST popular science base.
