The 36th World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) Guiyang Congress was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 31, with representatives involved in agricultural product trade from 28 countries and regions attending the congress.
As the host of the congress for the first time, Guiyang hopes to take advantage of its big data development and apply it in the production and circulation of agricultural products.
The congress is expected to bring opportunities to the international trade of Guiyang's agricultural products, as well as support Guizhou's poverty alleviation efforts.
A forum focusing on digital supply chains was held on the same day, experts from home and abroad exchanged opinions on the integration of wholesale markets and big data technology.
