Stickers of the mascot for the upcoming 2019 Big Data Expo, "Shuxiaobo," were released on May 14.
This year's Big Data Expo will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province from May 26 to 29. As one of Guiyang's most important annual international events, the expo's mascot image has caught the attention of the public.
According to the executive committee of the expo, the design of the mascot is based on the expo's official logo. It takes white as its thematic color, and is outlined with the color blue, which stands for technology.
The design of the mascot's head not only incorporates the expo's logo, but also utilizes the characteristics from the province's ethnic groups' headwear, and stands for the crown, which symbolizes Guizhou's leading position in the big data industry.
The stickers have the themes of big data, Guiyang, and daily life in the province to introduce Guizhou and its development in big data. The stickers are expected to showcase Guizhou's big data industry and raise teenagers' interest in the industry.
