The Leading Scientific and Technological Achievement award of the 2019 Big Data Expo, which will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from May 26 to 29, was reviewed in Beijing on April 28.
During the final review, a group of experts from the big data industry selected 49 projects as excellent projects, which will be announced during the 2019 Big Data Expo.
Applications for the award began to be accepted on January 9 and 614 projects were received, which is 88 more than last year. Famous enterprises from home and abroad including Tencent, Huawei, Dell, Inspur, and Lenovo applied for the award.

After two reviews were conducted in April, 85 projects won qualification for the final review. The final winners will be awarded in the categories of new product, new technology, business model, and black technology, which refers to powerful or advanced technology that evolved from past products.
The award has been approved by the National Office for Science & Technology Awards, and became the only social science and technology award in the big data industry in China.
