A total of 20 projects along Shubo (big data expo) Avenue in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, went into construction on March 20, in an effort to optimize the city's industrial layout and bolster its economic development.

With an investment of 2.2 billion yuan ($327 million), the projects include nine integrated application projects, seven digital industry projects, and four information infrastructure projects.
By focusing on the development of a national big data comprehensive trial zone and China's Data Valley, Guiyang has been increasing its efforts to strengthen its digital economy and develop big data into a strong engine to propel its high-quality social development.

The Shubo Avenue project is expected to become a showcase for Guiyang's new technology and development, as well as an important zone for the development of its big data industry, which will further the city's economic openness.
