Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has signed 476 projects worth over 89 billion yuan ($13 billion) with the help of the upcoming Big Data Expo.

The Big Data Expo was first held in Guiyang in 2015 and has become a platform for the city to open-up. As the world's first national exhibition focusing on big data, the expo makes use of Guiyang's resources and provides a platform for the development of big data in China.

Guiyang will establish laws, standards, security systems, and application systems for the big data industry and explore artificial intelligence, quantum information, mobile communication, internet of things, and block chain.

Guiyang currently has 10 big data industrial parks that can play a key role in the development of big data. In 2019, Guiyang plans to introduce 60 elite big data companies and 50 large big data companies, and increase the primary income of big data companies by 20 percent.

In addition, Shubo Avenue (Big Data Expo Avenue) will be revealed during this year's Big Data Expo, and will become a permanent venue for exhibiting big data achievements.

Products and technologies exhibited at the annual Big Data Expo represent the advanced achievements of renowned companies from around the world. Guiyang will cooperate with these companies to seek business opportunities and take advantage of the economic value of the achievements.
