The executive committee for the 2019 Big Data Expo started recruiting volunteers, particularly university students in Guizhou province, on Feb 28.
It plans to recruit 800 volunteers to provide translation, conference, consultation, and other services during the expo.
Volunteers are expected to serve for a specified amount of time, and the ideal volunteer would have Mandarin and foreign language skills, knowledge of Guizhou and big data, and previous volunteer experience at big events.
The volunteers will be trained and provided with ID cards, uniforms, transportation services, dining services, accommodation, and personal accident insurance throughout the length of the expo.
Each volunteer will receive a certificate of honor after the expo.
