In 2018, southwest China's Guizhou province added more than 2,200 new patents and projects, helping government and business with 108 solutions, according to the provincial big data research and application promotion association on Jan 29.
Founded in July 2017, the association has had nearly 200 enterprises and individuals in various fields related to big data, including e-government, cloud services, industrial internet, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and smart city data collection.
In 2018, the association held seven exchange meetings attended by more than 90 membership enterprises. It signed a cooperation framework agreement with Hong Kong Chinese Big Data Society and attracted 250 million yuan ($37.08 million) worth of investment for its tea production line.
Zhang Hong, the head of the association, said that the association will explore new service mechanisms in 2019 by strengthening cooperation with the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou and the provincial information center.
