The government work report of Guizhou province, which was delivered at the annual "two sessions" in January, put forward specific requirements for fully promoting the high-quality development of the province's economy with a focus on medium and high-end manufacturing.
"The government work report on work arrangements this year reflects the determination of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government to develop the real economy," said Tang Xinglun, deputy mayor of Guiyang, the capital city of the province.
Guizhou will concentrate resources and tap into the strengths of all entities involved to build industrial clusters and develop a new type of industrial system to promote the growth of medium and high-end manufacturing.
By implementing a policy of "consolidating, enhancing, upgrading and smoothing," the province plans to deepen supply-side structural reforms, incorporate innovative methods such as the integration and the real economy to accelerate the upgrading and transformation of middle and high-end manufacturing enterprises that adhere to an intensive, green, and intelligent developmental direction.
Yu Guiqin, a member of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference and chief accountant of Guizhou Kailin Construction Group Co, is encouraged by recent economic trends in Guiyang, saying that the city's economic development has been generally stable and would serve as a good example for the province to follow.
