Guizhou province willplans to develop its elderly care industry inover the coming years, making full use of its favorable natural conditions, according to Luo Ning, head of the Guizhou’s Bureau of Civil Affairs.
Speaking onat thea sideline of the 5th session of the National People’s Congress (NPC) on March 12, Luo said that the southwestern Chinese province will have to enhance its tourism to meet increasing needs of elderlyits senior citizenspeople.
“Guizhou has a suitable environment for old peoplethe elderly, especially with aits cool weather in the summer,” said Luo., “adding that Iit has the potential to become a worldwide elderly care base.”

Guizhou can promote its biodiversity, its and abundant Chinese herbalss and hot springs to appeal to elderly peoplesenior citizens with chronic diseases, she suggested.
