According to a press conference held by the Guizhou Food Culture Research Association on December 18, the first China-Guizhou Gourmet Festival will open in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, in late December. The event will last one year.
The cooking competition, China's eight cuisine cooking performance, a food expo and food culture photography exhibition are the main components of the festival.
A documentary will be filmed to introduce audiences to Guizhou's ecological environment, food ingredients, cooking recipes and the history of Guizhou cuisine.
