Devoted to targeted investment attraction, Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed 244 medium and high-end commercial projects from January to October this year, with an estimated investment of 36.14 billion yuan ($5.14 billion).
According to the Guiyang investment promotion bureau, among all the medium and high-end projects, 99 involve hotels and homestays, 63 involve tourism, sports and cinemas, 42 involve commerce, catering, and auto parts markets, as well as 40 involve logistics, finance, data transaction, and software development.
In addition, more major projects involving shopping centers, complexes, logistics, and hotels are under negotiation.
Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang has sent delegations to China's major cities, such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Hangzhou, to hold promotion meetings. It has also released investment attraction plans to sort out 350 targeted companies.
In the future, Guiyang will focus on the targeted companies, striving to attract more commercial projects.
