The all-terrain vehicle developed by Guizhou-based Jonyang Kinetics Co was awarded at the 5th China Industry Awards held in Beijing on Dec 9.
Designed for military use, the vehicle has been widely used in national emergency rescues, scientific polar investigations, fire rescues, border patrol operations and logistic support.
The vehicle has been used in China's Antarctic science investigation since 2015. Its innovative production techniques are among the best in the world.
The China Industry Award recognizes the highest levels of industrial development in China and has been approved by the State Council. It is commonly known as the Oscar of Chinese industry.
For the 5th China Industry Awards, a total of 231 companies and projects from 13 industries have entered the final round of evaluations. The purpose of the award is to commend industrial companies and projects that have contributed to national economic development.
A total of 23 awards will be given out at the ceremony: 12 for companies and 11 for projects. Commendation awards were given out to 20 companies and 16 projects, while nomination awards were given out to 14 companies and 10 projects.
