At the 5th China Industry Award ceremony held in Beijing on Dec 9, Keichow Moutai Co, Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics Co and Guizhou Steel Rope Co from Southwest China's Guizhou province all won awards.
The China Industry Award represents the highest level of industrial development in China and was approved by the State Council. The purpose of the award is to commend industrial companies and projects that have contributed to national economic development.
The awards are given out every three years by 12 national industrial associations. They include both commendation awards and nomination awards. Keichow Moutai Co and Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics Co won commendation awards, which marks the first time that two Guizhou companies have both won the award in the same year, while Guizhou Steel Rope Co received a nomination award.
The 5th China Industry Awards hand out a total of 23 awards: 12 for companies and 11 for projects. The commendation awards were given out to 20 companies and 16 projects, while the nomination awards were given out to 14 companies and 10 projects.
