Metro line 1 in Guiyang city, Southwest China's Guizhou province is now complete and ready to be put into operation this December, marking the launch of the city's first metro line.
The green subway trains will be complete with QR code payments, heated seats, dynamic maps, bilingual broadcasts and other facilities, providing a convenient and comfortable travel experience.

Guiyang subway has moved the handrails away from the doors to prevent congestion during rush hours, and set aside a wheelchair space beside the doors for disabled people.
It has also adopted the domestic advanced design to reduce shock. With a designed load of 1,460 passengers, the train can take a maximum of 2,062 people.

When put into operation, subway line 1 will be equipped with 158 drivers and make 254 trips per day to serve citizens. The first train will depart at 6:30 am and the final train will depart at 11 pm. The waiting time between trains will be six minutes during rush hours, eight minutes during regular hours and 10 minutes during low hours.
Each station of the subway line is equipped with one police office and at least three policemen who will carry out patrols and deal with disputes, civil cases and criminal cases to guarantee the security of the subway.
