With the launch of an intelligent radio and TV system project in 2016, people in Guizhou have been benefited from the information highway built with big data and cloud computing technologies.
So far, Guizhou has installed 340,000 kilometers of optical cables that cover every village in the region. Over the past two years, users of digital TV terminals reached 7.4 million, including 4.25 million high definition terminal users and 2.15 million broadband users.
After three years of construction, the cloud system for radio and TV has become the optimum network for information transmission, covering the widest area of Guizhou.

The system not only comes with an intelligent operation interface for watching TV, but also provides conveniences with its various functions. For example, people can have access to better medical resources via the telemedicine function without the trouble of long-distance travel.
Currently, Guizhou has finished the construction of its health care platform and special circuits for medical institutions at all levels, including 183 circuits for public hospitals, 1,476 circuits for township and community health service institutions, and 9,902 circuits for village medical rooms.

The digital TV library integrated in the intelligent system plays an important role in rural area education. Users can subscribe to 20,000 video lectures, 6,000 journals and millions of books online for free.
Since the library launched online in October 2017, the number of downloads has reached 2.87 million, the total number of people browsing has reached 7.61 million, and the average weekly browsing time has hit 125.57 minutes.
As the only intelligent radio and TV system comprehensive experimental area in China, Guizhou will keep promoting the integration of radio and TV with internet, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies, and set a successful example for intelligent radio and TV system construction across the whole country.
