Guizhou Green Tea was named the National Demonstration Model of Agro-Product Geographical Indications at the 16th China International Agricultural Product Trade Fair held in Changsha city, Hunan province, on Nov 2.
Guizhou Green Tea received the title of Agro-Product Geographical Indications by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in January 2017. It then applied for the title of National Demonstration Model of Agro-product Geographical Indications that October.
Over the past year, Guizhou Green Tea saw a steady rise in output, scale, and marketing. Industrialization, standardization and branding helped bring the Guizhou tea industry into the modern world.
As the holder of a prestigious title, the Guizhou Tea Brand Development Association will strive to standardize the planting, picking, producing, and packaging of Guizhou Green tea. The association will also make efforts to improve the quality, marketing, and competitiveness of Guizhou Green Tea.
