Sun Zhigang, Party secretary of the Guizhou committee, led a delegation to visit some famous companies in the United States from Sept 23-27, including Apple, Intel, Microsoft, Qualcomm and Hanergy.
Apple is famous for its innovation. Sun came to Apple's headquarters to hear about the company's latest products and introductory technology, and exchange views with Apple's senior management. The two sides hoped to continue to create a better future in the spirit of friendship and cooperation.
At its next stop the delegation visited the Intel Technology Museum for discussions with Intel's high-level executives and for presentations on Intel's new technology and new product development. Sun said that Guizhou has great potential in developing big data industry and invited Intel to visit Guizhou to further expand cooperation areas.
Microsoft is currently the world's largest provider of computer software. Sun came to the company headquarters to visit the Microsoft Technology Preview Center to learn about Microsoft's artificial intelligence, big data, sensors and other aspects of its research and development, and expressed his hope that Microsoft will further promote cooperation with Guizhou.
Hanergy Holding Group owns some of the world's most advanced flexible thin film solar energy production technology. Sun said that Guizhou will jointly promote the development of Hanergy Group's mobile energy industrial park project in Guizhou.
He also visited Qualcomm's R&D center in Silicon Valley, where he said that in recent years Guizhou has conscientiously implemented a new development concept in the huge Chinese market with strong economic momentum and broad investment cooperation space.
The heads of the various American enterprises were all optimistic about the prospect of cooperation with Guizhou, and expressed a willingness to push the cooperation deeper and achieve more pragmatic results.
The delegation also visited the University of California at Davis for discussions with experts on how to use bio-extraction technology and develop bio-extraction products.
