The 2018 Mount Fanjing International Natural Drinking Water Expo will be held from Sept 12 to 14 in Tongren city, Guizhou province, according to a Sept 5 news conference.
The event will host a series of activities, including a launching ceremony promoting drinking water brands, an exhibition for natural drinking water and relevant products, and a signing ceremony for natural drinking water companies in Guizhou.
The event will be accompanied by a conference discussing the development of the water industry, several competitions, and an investigation into natural drinking water.
The expo will set up 18 exhibition halls for famous natural drinking water brands like Evian and Perrier from France, New Water and Blue Lake from New Zealand, FIJI Water, and domestic brands such as Nongfu Spring, Wahaha and Mater Kong.
The expo will promote the sustainable and healthy development of Guizhou's natural drinking water industry.
In recent years, Tongren has continually promoted the development of the water industry and has seen strong results.
Relying on the area's rich natural environment and abundant water resources, the city introduced several leading bottled water producers, including Nongfu Spring and Watsons, and cultivated a large number of local natural drinking water brands, including Haocaitou Water, Shiqian Spring and Fanjing Spring.
Last year, the value of natural drinking water in Tongren reached 980 million yuan ($143.35 million).
