The FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Apherical radio Telescope) Early Science Data Center of Guizhou Normal University will present the latest achievements during the first Smart China Expo, which will open in Chongqing Municipality from Aug 23 to 25.
The center will bring the FAST model and make use of AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) technology to display its achievements in astronomical data processing, pulsar searching and FAST popularization.

As the world's largest aperture spherical radio telescope, FAST is located in a karst cavity in Guizhou Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture. Since it was put into operation in 2016, it has discovered 51 pulsar candidates, 11 of which were late confirmed to be pulsars.
The Smart China Expo will be held at the Chongqing International Expo Center and will have 436 guests in areas of politics, industry, education, and research, including foreign dignitaries, members of international organizations, government officials, scholars and company representatives.
