The sixth Meeting of the Southwest Museum Alliance and the 2018 Southwest Museum Annual Meeting will be held in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 27-29.
Hosted by the Southwest Museum Alliance of China and the Guizhou Provincial Museum, the meeting will invite more than 70 experts and museum curators from all six southwest Chinese provinces to discuss opportunities and challenges in the new era.
The meeting is expected to strengthen cooperation and information sharing within the alliance and promote the alliance's influence in the museum industry.
Founded in 2010, the Southwest Museum Alliance of China brings together provincial and city-level museums in Guizhou, Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi and Tibet. The members have actively carried out exchange, cooperation, training, and academic research over the past several years, which has contributed to the innovation and development of regional cultural and educational undertakings.
