The Guizhou Art Museum showcased the culture of the Dong ethnic group with experience activities on July 15.
Girls from E'an Dong village in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture wore traditional costumes and headwear as they sang and danced, providing visitors with a feast for the senses.
Inheritors of Dong embroidery took part in the activity, contributing two works of Dong embroidery to the museum's collection. Tian Jinfan, one of the embroiderers, gave a lecture on the unique cultural tradition, explaining its history, techniques and future protection.

More than 200 students from local primary and middle schools learned the secrets of Dong embroidery and even tried it out for themselves.
"The activity not only helps students learn traditional techniques but also improves their practical ability," said Zhao Jingjing, a parent of one of the students.
