The 11th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week will run from July 25 to 30 in Guian New Area, according to a news conference held in Guiyang on July 12.
The event is more than just a platform for educational cooperation and exchange, but has also been an important platform for cultural communication since it began in 2008. It primarily engages with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
This year's event will hold a total of 57 activities spanning education, culture, sports and health. Approximately 3,000 guests will be invited to the opening activities, including 800 foreign guests from Switzerland, Russia, Kazakhstan and ASEAN countries.
It is reported that an exhibition hall will be used during the education week covering an area of nearly 700 square meters. The hall plays an important role in showcasing and promoting the event.
The Alibaba Global Alliance of E-commerce Education will be established during the event. China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group plans to take the opportunity to join with well-known universities in China and ASEAN countries to cultivate e-commerce talents.
The vice-president of Alibaba Group, the vice-president of the University of International Business and Economics, the president of Tunku Abdul Rahman University in Thailand and guests from Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia will participate in the foundation ceremony.
