The Sixth Guizhou Adolescent Robotics Competition was held at No 1 High School of Guiyang on June 2. The contest was popular among schools, as it received the attendance of more than 1,200 teachers and students.

It is reported that 400 teams from more than 200 schools in Guizhou province participated in the contest. The contest had six challenges. Winning teams will be recommended to participate in the National Youth Robotics Competition in July this year.
The contest has aroused the biggest public attention since 2013. Schools show active involvement and spearhead a series of activities to let students know more about science and technology. Nearly 10,000 teachers and students have participated in various robotic contests over the past six years. Teams selected by past provincial competitions made efforts and won honors in the national competition for three years.
The contest encourages students throughout the province to communicate and study together. It is also of significance to the province to develop students' scientific quality and to cultivate scientific and technological talents.
