A total of 24 projects will compete for the championship of the 2018 China International Big Data Fusion Innovation & AI Global Competition in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province on May 25.
Receiving 1,116 projects from 15 countries and regions, the event will witness enormous advanced and professional projects in various fields, including artificial intelligent (AI) chips, smart data warehousing and smart musical teaching.
Accompanying the 2018 Big Data Expo, which will be held from May 26-29, also in Guiyang, the AI event has entered a cooperation agreement with global quality chip maker-Intel, which will provide technological service for the event.
Recent years have seen Guiyang's rapid development in big data. The city has secured a number of projects from industrial giants, including China's three big telecommunication operators.
Guiyang has numerous data resources in as many as 10 fields, a solid foundation for the development of AI and big data.
In December 2017, Guiyang signed an agreement with Intel and the Chinese AI and Smart Industrial Innovation Alliance in a bid to set up an AI open platform in China and promote the innovation of traditional industries.
