Shen Yiqin, deputy secretary of the Guizhou provincial CPC committee and governor of Guizhou province, led a delegation to Austria from April 18 to 19.
Shen's visit was to promote cooperation between Guizhou and Austria. Chen had discussions with several Austrian officials, focusing on such areas as trade and investment, cutting-edge manufacturing, tourism of mountainous regions, clean energy development, health care and ecological agriculture.
The Austrian side showed high expectations for the great potential in cooperation between Guizhou and Austria, and was willing to share successful experiences and advanced technologies with the southwest China province to achieve mutual development.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up. Guizhou is stepping up its efforts to attract more overseas investments and to become an ideal economic experimental zone in China.
