The Global Big Data Exchange (GBDE), a pioneer in the field of China's big data transactions, recently set a record of 2,000 members and generated turnover of 120 million yuan ($19 million), according to the Guiyang big data bureau.
Located in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province, the GBDE has accessed 225 high-quality data sources, providing nearly 4,000 products for data exchange.
It is reported that the member enterprises cover more than 20 kinds of industries including finance, communications, medical care, agriculture, and media.
The surprising number of members indicates the market's wide acceptance of the GBDE, which has gradually built a strong customer base to become the leading Chinese big data exchange platform.
In order to better break the barriers of data transactions and make data more organically integrated, the GBDE set up branches for big data exchange service in more than 10 provinces and cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
It also launched the Huangguoshu index for data product exchange. The index reflects the level of activity of Chinese big data exchanges and the development of the big data industry. With its help, enterprises can better grasp exchange opportunities according to trends in data exchange.
