Yang Kexin, a Guiyang-born young woman realized her childhood dream of picking stars from the sky – She has become the only woman in China who is obsessed with meteorites and dedicated to finding more of them and promoting the mysterious meteorite culture.
Yang has collected over 400 kilograms of meteorites in the past six years. She even opened a meteorite shop at Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, in January last year, aiming to popularize the mysterious stones and meet people with the same hobby.
Her passion for stones started in 2012 when she worked at a marketing company selling mining equipment in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region after graduation. At the vast Gobi Desert, she often followed her colleagues and collected various stones.
