The 30th anniversary ceremony of the founding of Yanhe Tujia autonomous county, one of the four Tujia autonomous counties in Southwest China's Guizhou province, will be held in the county on Nov 7.
Under the theme of "Glorious Three Decades, Marco-shift of the Tujia People", a gala, a helicopter performance and other activitiesis scheduled will be staged during the ceremony.
Yanhe county has 22 towns, with a total population of 680,000, of which Tujia people account for 64.7 percent. Approved by the State Council, Yanhe Tujia autonomous county was founded in November 1987.
"We will showcase the achievement we have made over the past three decades," said He Zhigang, governor of Yanhe county.
The sixth Tongren Tourism Industrial Development Conference and the eighth cultural and tourism festival to promote the scenery of Wujiang Gorge in the county will be held simultaneously, in order to make the place a new popular tourist destination.
