After completing construction last month, Guizhou Art Museum, the first provincial art museum in Guizhou, finally opened to the public in Guiyang on Sept 1.

With a total area of 16,000 square meters, Guizhou Art Museum features a main exhibition hall, a secondary exhibition hall with constant humidity and temperature control, a third exhibition spaces utilizing natural light and a functional basement storage area.
Guizhou Art Museum, rebuilt on the former site of the Guizhou Provincial Museum, is expected to serve as a local cultural community and host public educational activities.
Moreover, the Double Hundreds Calligraphy and Painting Project Show was unveiled to welcome visitors of museum after the opening ceremony. The project is a large-scale artistic selection of excellent calligraphy works and paintings. The show displays more than 140 pieces created by artists across China.
