The new Shanghai-Kunming high-speed rail line was quickly dubbed China’s most beautiful railway when it opened in December 2016, and now the arrival of spring has made the views even more stunning for passengers.
The section of the 2,300-kilometer line running through Southwest China’s Guizhou province is possibly the most spectacular of all, as the train cuts through the region’s dramatic karst landscape with jagged emerald peaks rising from a sea of yellow rapeseed flowers on all sides.
