Business representatives, tourism companies and government officials from the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture held a promotional event in Shenzhen on Dec 12.
The prefecture hoped to flaunt its mountain tourism resources and encourage people in Shenzhen to take their holidays in the lush mountains of Guizhou, where Qianxinan is located. It was also aimed at attracting investment from companies hoping to gain a foothold in the budding tourism market there. Qianxinan has been making a name for itself in China as a hub for outdoor sports and cultural tourism hub.
In 2015, the prefecture hosted the first International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports, where tourism experts, outdoor athletes and travellers from all discussed the industry and got a glimpse of Qianxinan’s natural landscapes and ethnic culture.
