Expert scholars of ancient towns gathered in Guiyang on Dec 13 to participate in a forum themed on innovation and development of ancient towns.
During the three-day forum, participants studied the problems hindering the protection and development of ancient towns and shared their experiences.
The event was co-hosted by the Urban Planning Society of China, Guizhou Housing and Urban and Rural Construction Office and Guiyang municipal government.
In addition to symposiums, a folk music concert and field visits to ancient towns were also held as part of the forum.
