Guizhou’s telemedicine system now covers 199 county-level or above public hospitals, thanks to a recent project to update the medical industry in the province.
The hospitals have carried out consultation for more than 6,700 cases from January to November of this year, which is double the amount compared to last year.
Provincial hospitals also held consultations with major hospitals in the country, such as the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing.
The province plans to increase information sharing among hospitals by setting up electronic medical records for residents and exchanging electrocardiogram and pathology data.
