Guiyang Agricultural Science Park, located in the city’s Wudang district, is guiding farmers living in surrounding towns on how to grow flowers in recent years.
The park has set up several advanced planting bases under the cooperation with the Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Guizhou Universities and other colleges in the province.
In 2016, more than 50 million flowers of 40 species, such as begonia and osmanthus, have been planted on some 39,000 mu (26 million sq m), creating a turnover of 1.2 billion yuan ($173.43 million).
