More than 80 overseas students studying at Guizhou University recently got the chance to learn about the development of big data industry in Guizhou by visiting an exhibition in Guiyang.
The students are all recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship, which is granted by the Ministry of Education to foreign students to allow them to study in China.
Guizhou University arranged for the students to take a tour around the Beijing Guiyang Big Data Application Exhibition Center in Guiyang, where they learn about the application of big data in the fields of economy and government affairs, and the role it plays in enhancing people’s livelihood in the province.
Michell Xool Castellanos, from Mexico, said that big data industry brought a great convenience to his life in the past two years while he worked on a master degree in Guizhou University. The online shopping and the free WIFI were the things he listed as being the most impressive.
