An aviation flight camp opened in Wanfeng forest in Xingyi, Guizhou on Sept 21.
The facility will provide a base for light aircrafts such as paragliders and hot air balloons. It will also offer flight packages for tourists.
To make full use of Xingyi's airspace resources, low-level visual flight routes have been designed. The flight routes have been created with sports competitions, leisure and flight training in mind.
Liu Dake, a senior staff member at the camp, said that Xingyi recently held a hot air balloon competition in Wanfeng forest due to its favorable climate and landscape.
"The climate and landform of Wangfeng forest is the reason why the first aviation flight camp launched here," said Liu.
Zhu Baolin, an official from the Sport Administration of Guizhou Province, pointed out that the aviation camp will play a significant role in promoting the integration of sports industry and the tourism industry.
