Gui’an New Area in Guizhou province is about to play host to a new area forum as part of the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference which will take place from July 8 to 10.
China has been improving the regional administration, by forming “new area” through merging or re-division, amid efforts to boost economic growth and streamline decision-making.
At a news conference, Yu Shanggui from Gui’an New Area explained that the forum will invite approximately 160 guests from governments, colleges and universities, new areas, world famous enterprises and green cities.
The event will take “Innovative Development of Green Cities – High-end, Green and Intensive” as its theme. Eighteen national new areas are expected to take part in the forum to discuss how to develop in an environmental friendly and efficient way.
