Performances including dances, singing and costume shows were put on during the event. People could also sample teas while enjoying the entertainment.
The promotion event was designed to boost local tea businesses, which it has effectively done over the previous nine years it has been held.
This year the district wanted to integrate tea culture with local tourism, according to Zhu Lixia, director of Nanming district. “We want to provide visitors a chance to experience Guizhou’s folk and ethnic cultures while enjoy the picturesque landscapes,” Zhu explained.
