Guizhou provincial lawmakers filed 28 legislative motions and 335 proposals at the 12th National People's Congress, in Beijing, concerning the economy, society, ecology, industrial restructuring, poverty reduction, big data, and urban and rural development.
This was an increase of 12-percent in the number of motions over last year's session, and of 10-percent in the number of proposals. In commenting on this, Kong Ping, a official of the secretariat of the 12th National People's Congress, called the quality of this year's motions "good", and said that the majority of them were backed by surveys, inspections or interviews.
