The Guiyang National High-Tech Zone, in Guizhou province has reached a cooperation agreement with Taiwan at a trade and industrial convention in Taiwan on Oct 14, dealing with industrial and commercial development in Guizhou.
By the end of September, Guizhou already had 184 Taiwan enterprises, investing $315.8-million and the new agreements could be a crucial opening for Guizhou, whose trade last year with Taiwan more than 13 times higher than for 2009. Now, medicines, education, finance, city management and ecology are new areas for cooperation.
Among the companies wanting to take advantage of the cooperative agreement with Taiwan are at least 60 Guizhou companies in big data, outsourcing, the health industry and modern agriculture, and, October 15-16, some representatives will hold communication activities on big data and e-commerce, health, medicines with manufacturers in the cities of Hsinchu and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
