The 2015 Guiyang International Marathon, in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province, on July 5, attracted 15,000 participants from China and abroad, to its full marathon, half-marathon and 3-kilometer run.
This year's tourney was the first to have online registration and it had 94 runners from Kenya, the United States, Canada, Italy, and a dozen other countries filing an application online, along with 59 runners from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Sun Yinjie, one of the 36 professionals invited to this year's tournament and one of the most talented female marathon runners, brought her running club members to the game and the organizers explain that the unique setting and pleasant weather make Guiyang a great place for it and allows the city to promotes itself worldwide.
