According to the Guizhou Provincial Education Department on January 13, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education have approved Guizhou University (GZU), Southwest China's Guizhou province, to join 20 other universities in China to set up the China-ASEAN education and training center.
The center, which aims to cultivate talent for the economic development of ASEAN countries and strengthen communication in the field of culture and humanity, diversifies China-ASEAN strategic cooperation.
Since 2008, Guizhou has held the China-AEAN Education Communication Week seven times, achieving significant results and wide recognition.
In 2012, Guizhou Electric Power Vocational Technology College along with 10 other colleges set up the China-ASEAN education and training center.
The China-ASEAN education and training center set up in Guizhou University will reinforce the influence of Guizhou education in ASEAN countries and boost the opening-up of Guizhou's education.
