On December 24, Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, completed water detection work.
The results show that nine drinking water source areas have all qualified as safe.
The water samples were taken once a month, 12 times a year, and were monitored and evaluated by the Guiyang Environmental Monitoring Center.
According to the results, the nine water source areas of Hongfeng Lake, Baihua Lake, the Aha Reservoir, the Nanming River, the Nanmen River, the Huaxi Reservoir, the Shalaohe Reservoir (reserve) and Dalongjin are qualified based on 28 conventional indexes.
The bodies of water also passed qualifications based on as many as 33 indexes selected each month and 80 indexes every year.
