The Guizhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention has drawn up detailed plans to deal with Ebola, as well as to guarantee the sufficient supply of disinfection drugs.
"We have established an expert team as well as an epidemic emergency handling team. We also provide training for relevant staff to enhance their professional skills," said Li Ming, director of the Guizhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to statistics provided by the Guizhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention, by November 4, 57 Guizhou people have returned from West African countries to Guizhou. Among them, 28 people are from Guiyang, one is from Liupanshui, 11 are from Zunyi, five are from Anshun, six are from Tongren, four are from Bijie and two are from Qiandongnan.
Li also said that the center has selected three experts in epidemic disease, laboratories and health education to support the Ebola control work in West Africa. The three experts are on standby for departure anytime.
"We kindly remind that travel to West African countries should be avoided unless there are special circumstances. For the people returning from West African countries, he or she shall accept monitoring from the local disease control and prevention bureau," Li added.
