According to the Huairen government in Guizhou province, the Huairen government's report on building a civil airport was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission on October 14.
Huairen plans to build a 4C-standard civil airport with a runway, a 4,000-square-meter terminal, four airport grounds and facilities covering an area of 3,300 square meters.
The airport project requires a total investment of 1.57 billion yuan ($256.3 million), and the project has recently started project design and bidding.
Huairen Airport will be completed in June 2016.
